Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how AgeWise (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the AgeWise mobile application. If you have questions, email mohcinebadour@gmail.com.
1. Who we are
AgeWise is a personal age, birthday countdown, and gift-idea app. It is operated by Mohcine Badour. Contact: mohcinebadour@gmail.com.
2. Information we store on your device
AgeWise is designed so that your personal details stay on your phone or tablet:
- Birth date — saved locally so we can calculate your age and countdown. It is not uploaded to our servers.
- Onboarding status — a flag that you have seen the intro screens.
- Custom gift ideas — if you add your own ideas, they are stored locally on the device.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a AgeWise user database for this information.
3. Information we do not collect ourselves
We do not ask for your name, email, or location inside the app. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
AgeWise is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect or receive identifiers and usage data to provide, measure, and personalize ads, including:
- Advertising identifiers where the platform allows them (for example the Android advertising ID)
- Device and app information
- IP address and general location derived from it
- Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks)
AgeWise does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. Ads may still appear so the app can stay free.
Google’s use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob guidance.
5. Analytics and crash data
We do not currently run a separate analytics product of our own. Advertising partners may collect aggregated or identifier-based data as described above.
6. How we use information
- To calculate age, birthday countdown, and related home-screen insights on your device
- To remember settings and gift ideas you add
- To show ads that keep AgeWise free
- To respond if you email us for support
7. Sharing
We do not sell your birth date or gift ideas. Information may be processed by Google as an advertising provider. If you email support, we use that email only to help you.
We may disclose information if required by law.
8. Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it (for example by changing your birth date, clearing app data, or uninstalling AgeWise). Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
9. Children
AgeWise is a general-audience app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through support email, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
If you contact us by email, that correspondence may be processed in the country where we operate. Advertising partners such as Google may process data in other countries according to their policies.
11. Your choices
- Change or remove your birth date in Settings
- Uninstall the app to remove local AgeWise data from the device
- Email us to ask questions about this policy
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of AgeWise after an update means you accept the revised policy.
